Two-Tier Affiliate Marketing, Profit From Other People's Sales

Two-tier affiliate marketing is a promising new twist on the traditional affiliate program. You see, two-tier affiliate marketing (also known as 2 tier, multitier and multilevel affiliate marketing) is a system where you can sign up other affiliate marketers "below" you.

The people who sign up below you, form the tiers or multiple levels of the program.

What's that mean?

That's an excellent question! The real genius of the two-tier system is the payment structure. The fact is, you're not going to promote any product unless you get paid, right? Of course!

Ryan is an affiliate marketer and he's got a website that talks all about Drop Shipping, how to do it, working with drop shipping companies, eBay, etc. His website covers it all.

On Ryan's Drop Shipping website, he does two things:

  1. Adds his affiliate link to a drop shipping company called World Wide Brands. That way eBay users will sign up with World Wide Brands, find products they can sell on eBay and World Wide Brands will handle delivery. A woman named Amy clicks on Ryan's affiliate link and then makes a buy at World Wide Brands. Amy gets her stuff and Ryan gets paid a commission. Pretty standard affiliate marketing right?
  2. On the website, Ryan also adds a 2nd affiliate link that describes how Amy can make commissions promoting World Wide Brands, just like he does. So Amy sees the link, clicks and signs up as an affiliate for World Wide Brands. This means Amy is now "below" Ryan. And every time Amy makes a sale from her affiliate link, she'll get paid the standard commission AND Ryan will get a bonus as well.

Multitier affiliate marketing really is a simple program.

Remember that people will describe two-tier affiliate marketing as multitier affiliate marketing or multilevel affiliate marketing, but they all mean the same thing. You sign people up "below" you and you'll make commissions on all of their sales.

One crucial note: There's no limit to the number of tiers in a two-tier affiliate marketing program. In fact, you could have 1,000 people "below" you.
