Credit Card Affiliate Website: How to Build Your Online Empire

You should know by now that there are tons and tons of credit card affiliate programs you should join. You don't have to stick with just one or two because the visitors to your website might want a little variety or a few options to pick from. Especially if you're building a "general credit card affiliate website."

But, you can go another direction too...

You can build a credit card affiliate website on just one card, like Discover card. On your site, build pages about every credit card that Discover offers like personal cards, small business credit cards, rewards cards and everything in between.

When you pick a small group of products to sell, that's called picking a "niche." It's a fancy word for small, targeted group that you can dominate easily. You'll hear it over and over from affiliate marketers.

Plus, that way your credit card affiliate website will have more "weight" with the search engines because it will be about one specific product, Discover credit cards. Which will mean more free traffic to your site anytime someone is looking for a Discover card.

Want to pick a different card? Do it!

Pick your favorite credit card to build your affiliate site around. Or pick the card that will pay you the most money. Look at all the details on CapitalOne, citiBank, and the rest. Find the perfect card for you and your website and get started!

My suggestion: Build several credit card websites! Build one website that has every credit card on the planet for the people that want options. Then create one website for just Discover credit cards, another website with only CitiBank credit cards and so on...

Heck, you can even build 3 more websites on VISA, American Express and MasterCard.

In fact, some super affiliate marketers would tell you that building multiple websites is the best way to go because you can link them all together which will build a higher ranking in the search engines. And you know what that means? More free traffic to your credit card affiliate websites.

Here's what I would do...

Step 1

Credit Card Affiliate
Start building your Main Credit Card Website and have an idea of the other "niche" credit card website you want to build.

I'd pick 3 very specific credit card websites on:

  1. Discover cards
  2. citiBank cards
  3. CapitalOne cards

You can pick the cards you want, you don't have to follow my plan.

Each one of these sites would have very different offers, prices, rewards because all of the cards are different.

Step 2

After I've chosen my top 3 credit cards affiliate programs to build affiliate websites around, I'll get started on the Main Credit Card Website.

Step 3

Research keywords! Search "Credit", Card" and "Credit Card" at WordTracker. Yes, this step will cost you a few bucks because it will give you the keywords you need to make $1000's of dollars back. Trust me, it's worth every penny.

Step 4

Start building your web pages based on the keyword research from WordTracker. Writing the web pages will take you some time, but they're the key to your success. After all, search engines and the visitors to your site need something to read. Not just boring info about the credit card rates–Every site has that old junk.

Make your site better, more interesting and personal. Write pages (based on keywords of course) about your own personal experience or write about somebody you know. I know you'll agree that stories are much more interesting to read than bland information and "fine print."

Step 5

Keep on building web pages. Your credit card affiliate website must have lots and lots of pages because each page gives you a better chance of driving traffic to your site–And making money from the credit card affiliate programs!

Step 6

Build the smaller, niche credit card websites, like Discover.

I'd pick the easy one and get started. Maybe you've used one of the cards? If you have, then it may be easier for you to write about it. Or, if you can't decide, pick the one that will pay you the most! Let's use Discover as our first website. Now search "Discover Credit", "Discover Card" and "Discover Credit Card" at WordTracker.

Repeat steps 2-5 for each of your specific credit cards.

Step 7

Done creating "niche" credit card websites? Great! Now link the Main Credit Card Website to all the other smaller, niche websites. Your main credit card affiliate website will act like an operator, constantly directing traffic to the perfect destination where visitors will sign up and you'll get paid!

The navigation on your main website might look like this:

Navigation:
Credit Card Information
Credit Card Articles
Credit Card Application
Credit Card Rewards

Other Credit Cards:
CapitalOne Credit Cards (link to your niche website)
Discover Credit Cards (link to your niche website)
citiBank Credit Cards (link to your niche website)
