This means Jane Doe may not buy the product you're promoting the first 5 times she visits your landing page.
You'll have to keep on telling Jane Doe about your product if you want her to buy.
In addition to helping sell your current product, you'll be collecting a list of people who may be interested in buying additional or similar products. And you'll soon discover that your best customers are the ones who have already purchased an item from you!
The best (and cheapest) way to keep Jane thinking about your product is by sending her at least 5 email messages.
You'll need to offer something to Jane so she will give you her email address. Typically, you can offer free tips, secrets or trial offers in exchange for her email address. If you're selling an ebook, you might use something like "When you sign up for the newsletter you'll receive the first chapter of the ebook absolutely free."
You'll want to add a sentence telling Jane that you're never going to send her spam and you'll never, ever sell her email address to anyone. Amazingly that one sentence will boost the number of people who subscribe to your list.
You MUST follow through on the offer. If you tell Jane she'll receive a free ebook when she gives you her email address, you must give her that ebook. If you don't keep up your end of the deal, Jane will instantly loose trust in you. At that point, you can forget about Jane. She's not buying anything from someone who lied to her.
You MUST give Jane a reason to open your messages. If you promised Jane the first chapter in your ebook, you must deliver it to her in the very first email you send her. That way she'll begin to trust you.
In fact, the first or second email you send Jane could be a simple "thank you" message. You can thank Jane for visiting your website and wish her success. Tell her you hope she'll tell others about your website.
Just make sure the messages are related to the product you want Jane to buy or she'll find them useless and won't read them.
And you've got to send at least 5 of them. Not in the same day of course. Spread them out over the course of a few weeks because nobody likes getting 5 emails from one company in the same day or week. It makes you look like a spammer if you send the emails too quickly.
